January 11, 2010Dear Parents/Guardians: In our continuing effort to develop the children of Belmopan in the sport of football, our academy is conducting a one month Football Skills Training Program for children between the ages of 5 and 17. This program will run on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, starting from Friday, February 12, 2010 and ending on Friday, March 19, 2010. All sessions will take place at the Governor General’s Field. We believe that the performance of our Belizean athletes will improve with better work ethics. We have therefore chosen to work on skills and work ethics at the earliest stage possible. Our Skills training program sessions will be conducted for 1 hour starting at 5:30 A.M. (IN THE MORNING!) and concludes at 6:30 A.M.. This should give children enough time to get home by 6:45 A.M.. It is your duty to make sure your child is on time for the sessions. Late attendance will not be encouraged! There will be no charges for children to participate in this program. The only requirement is that each child brings his or her own ball. Any ball will do! For children under 8 years of age, we recommend a size 3 ball. The ball a child brings to the sessions must bear the child’s name. Belmopan mornings can be quite chilly. We therefore recommend that you dress your child appropriately for each session. A T-shirt/sweat shirt, a stretchy short or long pants, and a pair of tennis shoes or a football boots will be fine. Once again I must remind you that football is a contact sport and although we will be taking the best care of our children, there still remain the possibility of them getting physically hurt. As a participating parent/guardian you share responsibility in this matter. If you wish to contribute ideas, in kind or financially to this venture, please feel free to contact us at our telephone number, e-mail or web page stated in our letterhead. If you want your child to participate in this program please fill out the form below and return it to Mr. Paul Morgan on or before the first session your child attends. Sincerely Please click here for the printable version of Letter to Parents. |
